Should you have a medical emergency or need medical advice, you can be secure in the knowledge that a fully qualified and experienced nurse is always available, giving you complete peace of mind. Southdowns offers independent living and does not provide ongoing care.

Services and Facilities

Our facilities are available solely to residents of Southdowns and their guests and you are free to participate in as much or as little as you like. You may wish to stroll through our exclusive grounds or play a spot of croquet. There are also many local walks through the Kent countryside and if you feel slightly more energetic, you can use one of the available allotments to grow your own fresh vegetables or flowers.The focal point of Southdowns’ social life is Shaw Hall, conveniently located at the centre of Southdowns. Shaw Hall accommodates the Social Centre with its licensed bar, TV lounge, billiard room, social area. It also houses the grocery shop, launderette and the Southdowns coffee shop. The club atmosphere allows you to relax, join your friends for a drink, take a meal, join in a games evening, watch the match or attend a fitness class. Various activities and events are arranged by our social committee.
