Today is the official Cash for Kids day! Our branches are continuing to fundraise for Cash for Kids, having raised over £24,000 so far and we are not stopping here!
Chesterfield branch has been doing an incredible job raising £515 so far, with their financial consultant Emily Cook running 5k a day for the entire month of May to raise money for Cash for Kids. She has not run more than 5k for over 12 months although she ran the London Marathon 4 years ago! How impressive is that?!
This is her last month in the Chesterfield branch and Emily would like to make a difference, especially knowing that the money raised is going towards kids that need our help.
“I am doing this for Cash for kids, kids affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting Illness & have additional needs.”
Our Plaistow branch has hit their goal of £1000 and they are not planning to stop there! Each of their staff has been doing 5k a day after work and on the weekends whatever the weather may be which takes them around an hour but they soldiered on!
“We were all quite keen on being involved as we all support this charity in particular, especially as it's geared towards helping children, something very close to all of hearts.”
Our Halifax branch is running football cards, non-uniform and a guess the Yorkshire teabags competitions with some prizes (donated by staff members) up for grabs throughout May.
And not to miss out on their 5k fix, they’re doing their 5k in the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course on the 18th of June! They will tackle 32 different obstacles over a 5k radius all in the aid of raising money for Cash for Kids. The course will include obstacles including the vortex, swing shot and the temple of doom – good luck Halifax team!!
