“The reaction to our fundraising has been really lovely and everyone is being so positive” That’s the message from our team in Hazel Grove who’ve been embracing the opportunity to raise money for Cash for Kids – the grant giving charity that Reeds Rains is supporting. And, thanks to the great response they’ve received, the team have now launched an online raffle to help raise even more.
Dean Brandreth, the Branch Manager at Hazel Grove explained:
We’ve been so grateful for the support of our local customers who’ve all been so kind in donating to our Cash for Kids fundraising page. I think by telling them about the charity, and how it will directly benefits disadvantaged children in this area, strikes a chord and has led to so many generous donations being made.
The fact is that Cash for Kids is proving vital at the moment because so many families have been placed in crisis, because of the pandemic, and now urgently need support – even for the most basic essentials such as food and clothing. By raising funds for Cash for Kids we’re able to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities and, knowing that 100% of monies raised will go direct to them, makes us even more determined to offer our support.
We’ve now launched a raffle on our Facebook page. It’s just £2 a ticket to enter and there’s the chance to win a £50 cash prize or other great prizes. Details are available on our Facebook page and we’ll be picking out the winners on May 14th - which is Cash for Kids Day, the main fundraising event that Reeds Rains is also sponsoring. We really want to raise as much as we can for the charity and thank everyone for their support.”
