In support of our Cash for Kids fundraising we’re delighted that our team in Durham have come up with some great ideas to raise money for the grant giving charity including a very apt ‘Design Your Dream Home’ drawing competition for local children.
It’s just one of several fundraising activities that the team has decided to plan over the coming weeks, as Lucy Frazer, the Branch Manager at Reeds Rains in Durham, commented:
The current restrictions means we’ve been unable to plan any ‘in branch’ events for customers to see or join in so we’ve had to be a bit more creative in our fundraising approach – but we’re really pleased with the ideas we’ve come up with.
As we work in the property market, we’re hosting a children’s competition to draw a dream home with the chance to win a selection of great art material. All we ask is that, at the time of entering, a small donation of £2 is made to our Cash for Kids fundraising page.
Photos of the entry can then be sent to our branch at Durham@reedsrains.co.uk adding the Subject Line as “My dream home competition” and their name and contact details within the email.
The competition closes on 14 May 2021.
Once judged, we’ll then contact the winner to arrange a hand over of the prize and promote the winning drawing online and in our branch window at the end of May - which we hope is an added incentive to enter.
And this is not all we’re doing.
As part of our fundraising we’re also having a fun ‘in branch’ competition amongst staff to bake a rainbow themed cake – with photos posted online – and our colleague Hannah is arranging a Zumba Dance which we, and anyone online, can take part in, in the hope that they also make a donation to our fundraising. More details will be released soon on our Facebook page.
Overall we just want to help local disadvantaged children and, knowing that the money we raise will stay in the region, encourages us even more. We thank everyone for their support.”
