In celebration of International Men’s Day (IMD), Reeds Rains colleagues are being invited to take part in special events today (19th November), joining others around the world in celebrating the positive value men bring to the world and, at the same time, being reminded about the importance of mental well-being.
There will be a special virtual panel discussion taking place when Managing Director, Oliver Blake, and Regional Managing Director, Ryan Oliver, will talk about their experiences and there will also be the chance for colleagues to access a special webinar featuring Dan Cross and Efrem Brynin, from Channel 4’s ‘SAS Who Dares Wins’, programme. Each will talk about their past mental health issues and, in line with this, there will also be a reminder of the comprehensive support being offered to colleagues to address their own mental well-being - with the help of LSL, Reed Rains’ parent company.
As further support for the day, LSL will also be donating £2, for every person who attends the events it has organised, to Movember, the leading UK charity funding men’s health projects including mental health and suicide prevention, testicular cancer and prostate cancer.
Helen Buck, Executive Director for Estate Agency at LSL commented:
“One of the aims of International Men’s Day is to improve gender relations and promote gender equality not only for men but for women too and the theme of the day this year is to be “better relations between men and women.”
In support of this our events aim to be very thought-provoking and, above all, demonstrate our support of colleagues across the business; whatever their personal circumstances may be.
It follows events we organised in March in support of International Women’s Day which acknowledged the huge contribution that women make to business and society as a whole – and fully supports the aims of our new Inclusivity & Diversity Forum; ensuring everyone within LSL feels supported and valued.”
