Reeds Rains estate and lettings agents in Pontefract has been successful at the Pontefract Civic Society Annual Design Awards where it won a Regeneration Award in recognition of their efforts in refurbishing their branch in Beastfair, Pontefract.
The award, presented by the Pontefract Civic Society, is part of their annual Design Awards celebrating the transformation work of the building which has seen the ground floor converted from three properties into one open plan office, creating an impressive new showroom to accommodate the increasing demand for Reeds Rains services.
The Civic Society promotes pride in Pontefract as a place to live, work, do business and visit.
Paul Cartwright, chairman at the Civic Society says: “The Reeds Rains branch has undergone a fantastic transformation and will act as a catalyst to improve the unique character of the town, encourage retail expansion, increase town centre usage and facilitate tourism.
The modernised upper floors of the building also attract other employees to the site and therefore should increase employment opportunities, confirming that regeneration is about people as well as buildings. The traditional exterior shop fronts have been retained, whilst the interior has a contemporary feel, including modern new furnishings and high tech LED displays of Reeds Rains properties. We congratulate Reeds Rains on their award.”
Reeds Rains has been selling houses since 1868 and has grown to become one of the UK’s largest estate agencies, with an increasing network of branches covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
