We’re delighted to announce that Reeds Rains is once again joining forces with the grant-giving charity, Cash for Kids, to support disadvantaged children in our communities and, this year, we’ll be the headline sponsors of their special Cash for Kids Day on Friday 14 May 2021.
Cash for Kids is Bauer Radio’s network of local charities, which operate across 22 areas around the UK. This year Cash for Kids Day will support families pushed into poverty as a result of the pandemic helping these families with basic essentials such as food and heating.
It’s the fifth consecutive year that we’ve supported the charity allowing us to build on the £60,000 we’ve raised for local children to date thanks to the collective fundraising efforts of our teams.
Louise Hudson, Marketing Director for Reeds Rains commented:
“We know that more than 2 in 5 families (*) are living in poverty as of 2020 and that children’s health and wellbeing has been impacted as a result. We’re therefore delighted to offer our support to Cash for Kids again and, whilst we’re having to adapt our approach a little this year, due to current restrictions, it’s not dampening the enthusiasm of our teams in any way.”
“They’re now gearing themselves up to raise as many funds as possible through various activities they’re organising and we’re really hoping that their customers, or those in their local community, will support them on Cash for Kids Day (the main day of fundraising) and in the run up to it.”
Each Reeds Rains branch will have a special link on their branch page on the website to allow for donations to be made and we’ll even be having an internal competition to see which branch or support team can raise the most. As in previous years, we’re expecting some great fundraising ideas to emerge as a result.
The good news too is that 100% of the funds raised will be granted out to children in our communities, supporting them with food, clothing and other essentials, which, particularly at the current time, are proving vital. It means every donation will be gratefully received – knowing that every penny will count to the ever growing number of children that need support."
