Our teams have had a great day of fundraising today in celebration of Cash for Kids Day, which Reeds Rains is delighted to be sponsoring.
This morning we had our team in Halifax pounding the streets, dressed as fairies whilst completing a challenge to walk from their neighbouring Reeds Rains branch in Hebden Bridge, back to their branch and, along the way, encourage charitable donations. They set off at 6 a.m. and completed the challenge three hours later so it's well done Jamie, Tom, Olivia, Emily and Alistair for taking part.
In Northwich we have also seen the Reeds Rains team complete their challenge to bike 200 miles on a static bike ‘in branch’. Paul Leighton, the Senior Branch Manager explained why.
“We decided to challenge ourselves to 200 miles as that’s the distance from our office to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children – which seems quite apt as the fundraising is in support of children.
We’ve had myself, Joe Pointon, Layla Rigby, Pippa Stickler, Paul Leighton and Oliver Warner taking part and some, like Layla, have found it quite tough as they don’t usually exercise, yet she’s completed an amazing distance.
I’m so pleased we did it and are supporting such a great charity.”
And in Holmes Chapel, like many of our branches, there’s been a Bake Sale taking place which, as you’ll see from the photo, should encourage even more donations to come in.
